Tad's crush on Susan becomes more transparent. Faced with the problem of paying Lou the rent, Joel agrees to pose nude for the calendar, and surprisingly finds he enjoys modelling. Susan continues to conceal her feelings for Martin, but Karl finds the atmosphere unbearable and finally pleads with her to come clean - Susan hopes he can handle the truth.
